THE AUTHOR
ROBERTO SALIMBENI
WRITER and more .....
I am writing my fourth novel; it is a historical mystery. Unfortunately I have not yet managed to publish neither the second nor the third, but I do not despair of making it in the coming months.
the second: "De Spira Mirabilis". is the continuation of "25" which represents the most natural completion. The third, on the other hand, is a noir set in the bourgeois Bologna of the 70s and is entitled "The enigma of the cold book".
Meanwhile, start by reading the first novel!
Many ask me why I started writing books at the age of sixty. To those who would like to ask me this question, I answer that I don't know exactly. Certainly much has influenced Maurizio's recent death, called "Il Gatto", who was a great friend of mine in his youth and whom I chose as a fundamental character in the first novel. He certainly inspired me in what I would call a "literary experiment". Thanks Maurizio.
My novels, until now, are all set between the 60s and 70s and this is a photo of me from those years, so important to me.
In the old photo on the right you can see me with my Master, Aldo Grano Baldassarre. A great friend from my youth with whom I spent hours in the afternoons after doing my so-called homework. He had an amazing imagination and invented stories of the moment as we strolled back and forth in the large courtyard that connected our homes in Bologna. A true Sicilian storyteller, the land from which he came. Unfortunately I have not met him again and I would like to think that one day he will fall into this site and be able to contact me again. Would be very nice.
Often I happen to lose some of the thread of the speech and I need a little help that I ask my personal helper named Alfredo; or my beautiful cat
In general, his help consists in giving me that tranquility that his mere presence can transmit to me when he lies down next to the computer on the work table.
He looks at me like a sphinx and seems to want to understand what the hell I'm doing, but often I don't know exactly what I'm doing so I hope he understands it alone with his super sensory abilities he certainly has.
